On your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, a T2 Travels representative will meet and greet you. And we will head straight to Negombo.
Located just north of the Bandaranaike International Airport is the city of Negombo. With the beautiful, serene, beaches and more than just a handful of excellent hotels and resorts, it is the best place to recover from jet-lag and find your footing in Sri Lanka.

After breakfast at the hotel in Negombo, we will head for the Sigiriya.
The ancient city of Sigiriya and a citadel located atop the 200 meters high Lion Rock are one of the most stunning ancient sites in Sri Lanka. In the morning we will pass through Lion Gate, flanked by gigantic lion’s paws, and climb inside the fortress, which today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afterward, we will climb the nearby Pidurangala Rock, a place from which you can enjoy a view encompassing the whole city of Sigiriya with Lion Rock proudly rising above it.
In the afternoon, we will have a safari in the Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park. These two wildlife sanctuaries are located on the banks of historic artificial lakes, Minneriya Wewa and Kaudulla Wewa, both dammed in the second half of the 3rd century AD. During the dry season, most of the wildlife from the surrounding area migrate to these two parks in search of water and food. Depending on the part of the dry season, you can see the largest gathering of wild Sri Lankan elephants in one of these two parks. The herd of these majestic animals numbers between 150 and 200 individuals.

After breakfast at the hotel in Sigiriya, we will start the trip to Kandy.
In the morning we will pass through the city of Dambulla and visit the Golden Temple. This Buddhist temple has existed since the 1st century BC and is considered to be the best-preserved ancient cave temple on the island. It is still an active place of worship and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Through the centuries of its existence, it was decorated with more than 150 statues of Buddha and more than 2,100 square meters of religious wall paintings.
On our way to Kandy, we will also visit the Spice and Herbal Garden, where you will have an opportunity to learn about spice trade in Sri Lanka, which is one of the oldest industries on the island. According to historical evidence, spices from Sri Lanka were traded with Europe, Africa and the rest of Asia, since ancient times.
When we arrive in Kandy, we will go to the cultural heritage show, and watch the Kandyan Dance Show. Also known as Uda Rata Natum, it is a collage of Sri Lankan traditional dances that through centuries have developed from various religious rituals, as a representation of historical events, legends, and nature.
If the time allows it, we will visit the Gem Museum, a traditional Wood Carving Factory, and the Batik Factory where the cloth is painted using the ancient technique of dyeing.

After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, we will head to Bentota.
The first stop we will make is in Peradeniya, just outside of Kandy. Here are the Royal Botanic Gardens, best known around the world for the collection of orchids.
Continuing on our way we will arrive at Kitulgala, where we will embark on the adrenalin-pumping White Water Rafting on the Kelani River. This river snakes through a thick jungle forest which is teeming with birds, and we will also embark on the Rainforest Trekking.
Upon arriving at Bentota you can spend the rest of the day on Leisure at one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka, and later enjoy one of the most beautiful sights of sunset on the island.
