Arriving to Bandaranaike International Airport you will be waited by a T2 Travels representative. After the meet and greet, we will start on our way to Nuwara Eliya.

Our first stop will be at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. An institution founded with the aim of protecting and nurturing wild elephant calves found injured or abandoned in the wilderness of Sri Lanka. Today, it also operates a successful breeding program, which plays an important role in preservation of these majestic animals native to the island. Every morning, elephants can be seen bathing and playing in the Maya Oya River.

Afterward, we will visit a Spice and Herbal Garden, where you can learn about the spices which are produced on the island, and which are used in traditional cuisine, and as remedies and beauty treatments in traditional medicine. And also buy some high-quality natural products made with them.

On our way, we will also visit the Tea Factory, where on a guided tour you can learn about the history and methods of production of some of the finest tea in the world. Product for which the island became famous around the globe, since the 19th century.

Continuing on our way, we will visit Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple. This house of worship is dedicated to Hanuman, a member of the Hindu pantheon, and one of the central characters of epic Ramayana.

Entering the hill country of Sri Lanka we will experience the mild and temperate climate of the highlands, which favors the cultivation of vegetables and fruits more often associated with continental Europe, than with tropical islands in the Indian Ocean. And we will visit the Strawberry Farm, where you can experience this magnificent sight and flavors of this fruit.

Next, we will visit the Seetha Aman Temple. One of the kind Hindu temple, dedicated to the princess Sitha, one of the central characters of Ramayana and wife of the eponymous Lord Rama. According to the legend, she has spent part of her captivity in the place where the temple is today. On the slope above the temple, is a wooded area, called Ashok Vatika. Where according to legend, Lord Hanuman as a proof of his identity presented to Sitha under an Ashoka tree the ring belonging to Lord Rama.

After arriving to Nuwara Eliya, we will spend some leisure time on Lake Gregory. An artificial lake, which is a popular spot for relaxation since the late 19th century. Here you can enjoy a pleasant stroll, trout fishing, or a boat ride.

A direct trip from Bandaranaike International Airport to Nuwara Eliya typically takes 4 hours 30 minutes, and you will stay overnight at the hotel on the Half Board basis, with dinner and breakfast included in price.

Starting the day very early, breakfast will be provided in the form of a takeaway in the Horton Plains National Park.

Our first stop will be in the Horton Plains National Park. A plateau that rises more than two kilometers above the sea level, which is a popular hiking location. A national park is a place of immense biodiversity, but its most astonishing feature is the World’s End. A sheer precipice that rises almost 1,200 meters above the valley. It is important to reach this spot early in the morning, due to its altitude and before the morning mists obscure the breathtaking view of the valley below.

The temperate climate and rolling grasslands of the hill country is pertinent to another unexpected industry, dairy farming. On our next stop, we will visit the Ambewela Dairy Farm where the Ayrshire breed of dairy cattle, originating from the rugged hills of Scotland, is kept. Here you will be able to enjoy dairy products made out of exceptionally high-quality milk.

Continuing on our way, we will visit two of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka. The St. Clair’s Falls, also known as the Little Niagara of Sri Lanka and one of the widest waterfalls on the island. And Devon Falls, which is often called the Veil of the Valley.

Our next stop will be at the town of Kitulgala, where we will have an adrenaline-pumping adventure while White Water Rafting on the Kelani River. This river flows through one of the last virgin rain forests in Sri Lanka, which is one of the protected bird areas, and a place of immeasurable natural beauty.

A direct trip from Nuwara Eliya to Bentota typically takes 4 hours 55 minutes, and you will stay overnight at hotel on the Half Board basis, with dinner and breakfast included in price.

After breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, we will start our voyage to Bandaranaike International Airport.

Before going north toward the airport, we will take a trip south to the city of Galle, where the 16th century Galle Fort is located. A UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular tourist spot, this fort was originally built by Portuguese in the 16th century, and expanded by Dutch East India Company. It is one of the best-preserved colonial European fortifications in South Asia.

Next, we will turn north along the coast and visit the town of Kosgoda, where the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project is situated. This hatchery is one of the most important institutions dedicated to the preservation of these magnificent animals, and where we can see the baby turtles being released to the open sea, racing across the beach.

While in Kosgoda, we will take a Rover Boat Safari, on the Madu Ganga River. The banks of the river are covered in the marshy mangrove forest and a biodiversity hotspot of immense beauty.

If the time allows it, we will take a tour around the landmarks of the city of Colombo.
