On your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be awaited by a T2 Travels representative, and we will start on our trip to Kandy.
Our first stop will be at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. This institution was founded as a sanctuary for abandoned and injured wild elephants and calves, found throughout Sri Lanka. Today it also operates a successful breeding program, and you can see the herd playing at the nearby Maha Oya River.
Continuing on our way to Kandy, we will visit Spice and Herbal Garden, where you can learn about the spice industry in Sri Lanka, and also buy traditional remedies and beauty products, and also the true cinnamon of the superior quality.

In the morning we will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. This temple is part of the Royal Palace complex and home for one of the holiest Buddhist relics in Sri Lanka, the relic of Buddha’s tooth.
Afterward, we will visit the Royal Botanic Garden, located in the neighborhood of Peradeniya. This garden has a collection of more than 4,000 plant species, among which the collection of orchids is the most prominent.
In the afternoon we will attend the Kandyan Dance Show which starts at 4 pm. This cultural heritage spectacle consists of traditional dance routines which over centuries developed from religious rituals and artistic forms celebrating legends, historical events, and nature.
Optionally, and depending on your wishes, we will visit the Gem Museum, a traditional Wood Carving Factory, or the Batik Factory where the cloth is painted using the ancient technique of dyeing.

On our way, we will visit a Tea Factory, and on a guided tour you can learn about and experience the process of production of some of the best tea in the world. The industry for which Sri Lanka is known since the colonial times.
Afterward, we will visit the Shri Bhakta Hanuman temple. A temple dedicated to Hanuman, a member of the Hindu pantheon and one of the central characters of epic Ramayana. We will also visit the nearby Ramboda Falls, a 109 meters tall tiered waterfall of immense beauty.
Nuwara Eliya is known for the cool, temperate climate, thus here are grown vegetables and fruits more often associated with continental Europe. So we will visit Strawberry Farm, where you can indulge in products of this flavorful fruit.

We will start our day early in the morning. Breakfast is provided in the form of a takeaway in the Horton Plains National Park.
In the morning we will visit a place of immense natural beauty and biodiversity, for which it is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Horton Plains National Park. The most stunning feature of this natural park is the World’s End, around 1,200 meters high sheer precipice with a stunning view of the plains below. To enjoy it, it is important to arrive early before the morning mist settle in the valley below.
On the way back to Nuwara Eliya, we will visit the Seetha Aman Temple. A Hindu temple dedicated to the princess Sitha, one of the central characters of Ramayana, and erected at the place of her captivity. Just above the temple is a wooded area known as Ashok Vatika, according to the legend, Lord Hanuman presented proof of his identity to princess Sitha at this place, under an Ashoka tree.
The afternoon we can spend on Lake Gregory, an artificial lake constructed in the 19th century and popular leisure spot in Nuwara Eliya. Here you can spend time fishing, boating, or jet skiing.

On our way, we will visit the St. Clair’s Falls, also known as the Little Niagara of Sri Lanka, and Devon Falls often called the Veil of the Valley.
Our next stop will be the town of Kitulgala, where we will engage in White Water Rafting on the Kelani River.

When we arrive at Galle, you will be able to explore the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and widely recognized as the best-preserved colonial-era fortress built by Europeans.
