Day 1 – Airport to Bentota

On your arrival to Sri Lanka, you will be awaited by a T2 Travels representative. After the meet and greet, we will embark on our trip to Negombo.

The city of Negombo is located near the airport, on the western coast of Sri Lanka, and is a perfect place to recover from the jet-leg after a long flight.

A direct trip from Bandaranaike International Airport to Negombo typically takes 15 minutes, and you will stay overnight at hotel on the Half Board basis, with dinner and breakfast included in price.

Day 2 – Galle Day Excursion

After breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, we will embark on a day trip to Galle.

Our first stop on the way is in the town of Kosgoda. Here we will embark on a River Boat Safari on the Madu Ganga River. The banks and islands of this river are characterized by marshy mangrove forests, which are a hotspot of biodiversity and a place of immense beauty.

While we are in Kosgoda, we will also visit the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project, the oldest institution in Sri Lanka dedicated to the protection of these magnificent animals. It operates a hatchery, where turtle eggs collected from surrounding breeding areas are placed away from predators and other dangers facing the turtles before they hatch. This way little sea turtle a headstart in their life and a greater chance of reaching adulthood.

Arriving in Galle, we will take a tour of the Galle Fort and it’s beautifully restored colonial-era buildings. This walled fortress was originally built by Portuguese in the 16th century, and expanded by Dutch East India Company in the 17th. Most of the buildings constructed in these times still stand and are a representative example of European architecture in South Asia during the colonial era. Fortress has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest surviving colonial fortress on the island.

Day 3 – Bentota to Airport

After breakfast at the hotel in Bentota, we will start our trip to Bandaranaike International Airport.

In the morning we will dedicate some time to some of the available activities and Water Sports in Bentota and then continue on our way.

On our way to the airport, we will pass through the city of Colombo and have a sightseeing tour of the most populous city in Sri Lanka. We will visit some of the most notable landmarks in this city. The Old Fort area that houses many of the beautiful colonial-era buildings, such as the National Museum of Sri Lanka. We will use this opportunity to wander the colorful streets of historical Pettah neighborhood and see the astonishing Pettah Floating Markets. We will pay a visit to Gangaramaya Temple located near the banks of Beira Lake, and also one of the most important monuments in the modern history of Sri Lanka, Independence Memorial Hall, which stands on the spot where, with a special ceremony, in 1948 Sri Lanka’s independence was announced.

  • If cancellations are made 15 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
