Day 1 – Airport to Sigiriya
On your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be awaited by a T2 Travel representative, ready to meet and greet you. Afterward, we will start our journey to Sigiriya.
On our way, we will pass through the city of Dambulla, where the Golden Temple of Dambulla is located. This Buddhist temple is the largest cave temple complex and arguably the best-preserved ancient edifice in Sri Lanka. It is an active place of worship since at least the 1st century BC. It consists of five caves which over centuries were decorated with constructed entrances, gilding, more than 150 statues of Buddha, and more than 2,100 square meters of religious wall paintings, depicting the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha.
In the afternoon we will partake in the Jeep Safari through Minneriya National Park. This park is located near the historic artificial lake of the same name, Minneriya Wewa. During the dry season, this park is teeming with wildlife, as the animals from surrounding areas migrate towards the lake in search of food and water. Here we can see the largest gathering of wild Sri Lankan elephants, which numbers between 150 and 200 individuals.

Day 2 – Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast at the hotel in Sigiriya, we will start on our way to Kandy.
In the morning we will visit the most stunning feature of this town. Lion Rock, rising 200 meters above the surrounding plains and the ancient gardens, with the ancient Sigiriya Rock Fortress built on its summit. Constructed in the 5th century AD, it is one of the most stunning examples of the ancient urban planning in Sri Lanka, and thus a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Continuing on our way, we will visit the Spice and Herbal Garden. Since ancient times, Sri Lanka was exporting spices around the world. Among which one of the most famous for its uniquely high quality is the true cinnamon. Here you will be able to learn about the history and production of this and many other spices.
After we arrive at Kandy, we will visit the Gem Museum, traditional Wood Carving Factory, and a factory where the cloth is dyed using the ancient Batik technique.
In the afternoon, we will attend the cultural heritage show which starts at 4 pm. The Kandyan Dance Show displays some of the most important immaterial cultural heritage of Sinhalese civilization. Consisting of dancers in traditional garbs and costumes of Kandyan kingdoms, performing dance routines developed over centuries from religious rituals, and as an art form celebrating nature, myths, and historical events.

Day 3 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast at the hotel in Kandy, we will start our trip to Nuwara Eliya.
In the morning we will visit one of the holiest Buddhist places of worship. The Sri Dalada Maligawa, better known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is the temple where the sacred relic of Buddha’s tooth kept. According to legend, whoever has this relic in his possession has the right to rule the island. For this reason, Sinhalese kings were building temples with the sole purpose of housing and venerating this relic. The last such temple is Sri Dalada Maligawa, which was built as part of the royal palace complex in Kandy.
Our next stop will be in the neighborhood of Peradeniya, where the Royal Botanic Garden is located. These gardens are home to more than 4,000 different plant species, among which is the world-renowned collection of orchids.
Continuing to our destination, we will visit a Tea Factory. Here, on a guided tour you will be able to learn about the history and process of producing some of the best tea in the world.
Afterward, we will visit the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Kovil. This Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, Hindu deity and one of the central characters of Ramayana. A short way from the temple is Ramboda Ella, the 11th tallest and one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka.
Arriving in Nuwara Eliya, we will spend the afternoon in leisure on Lake Gregory. This artificial lake is a very popular spot for leisure since its construction in the late 19th century. Here you can spend time strolling around its banks, fishing, or boating.

Day 4 – Nuwara Eliya to Airport
Our journey to the airport will start very early in the morning. Breakfast is provided in the form of a takeaway in the Horton Plains National Park.
The Horton Plains National Park is a protected area situated at an altitude range between 2,100 and 2,300 meters above sea level. Most of it is made of a plateau which ends with its most famous feature, the World’s End. This sheer precipice is a cliff of around 1,200 meters in height above the valley. View from it is often obscured by the mists, and it is important to reach it before they settle in the valley.
Continuing on our way, we will visit two places related to the events described in the Indian epic Ramayana. The Seetha Amman Kovil, a Hindu temple constructed on the place where princess Sitha spent part of her captivity, and the only temple dedicated to this goddess in the world. Nearby is a wooded area is known as Ashoka Vatika, where Lord Hanuman presented Sitha with a proof of his identity under an Ashok tree.
Afterward, we will visit two of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka, St. Claire’s and Devon Waterfall.
